Every Story Has A Beginning, Mine Starts In The Boogie Down Bronx, Birthplace Of Whats Grown To Become Known As Hip-hop. That's Where I Was Born. I Also Spent A Few Years In Puerto Rico, California, And Florida. It Wasn't Until Leaving Nyc As A Teen And Moving To Chicago That I Realized How This Music Could Influence People Everywhere. I Feel My Life Experiences And Travels Have Given This Native New Yorker A Fresh And Unique Perspective On The Culture As A Whole. I Met My Dj Parker Lee (Aka P-lee) Who Was Also From Ny While Living In Chicago, North Pole Chitown. We Started Out As Partners In Crime Bombing The City Streets But Because He Happened To Dj And I Was Already Emceeing We Naturally Hooked Up Musically. The Original Graf Crew Was "The Crowd Pleasers" And X-men But Now We Are Simply The Mental Giants. In 1994 I Appeared On Jamalski's Lp Thru Columbia Records With A Track Called "Akbar's Groove". This 2 Minute Freestyle Got Me An Instant Street Buzz. In 2001 I Released My Freshmen Album "Big Bang Boogie" On Independent Labels Illboogie And Raptivism Records. Despite The Lack Of Much Commercial Success This Project Solidified My Name In The Game As A True Up And Coming Artist To Check For. In 2004 I Featured With Krs-one On A Track Called "Still Spittin" Off His "Keep Right" Album. I Also Appeared On Several Features: Phobia Of Doors, No More Prisons, The Landlords, Copperpot, And Recently With The Freestyle Professors. On 11/11/11 I Released My Long Awaited Sophomore Album "Prepare For Planet X". I'm Very Excited To Finally Give My Fans New Good Music And Gain New Listeners Along The Way. You Should Also Look For My Upcoming Mixtape "Tommy Sheppard" And "A To The K' An Ep With Keenan Coke Of Gans Family With Flu P And Doc Mind Benda On Production. Keep Ya Eyes Up^ -akbar
